For the record...yes, Pop-Tarts are still cold after being in the microwave for three seconds. Hell they're still cold after ten...and more...

They are only fully enjoyable if you toast them in the old fashion Toaster.
Now a Twinkie in a microwave for 5-6 seconds is quite good....

I am a Peanut Butter and Toast....Dood. My Great Uncle Elmer (yes, that was His name) from way back in the 1960's when I was a lad shared this knowledge of breakfast to me. The "trick" is to have good bread....not that sponge white bread....good grained bread.
After we dined on our toast....my Great Aunt Blanche (yes, that was Her name too) would have me sit down and read out of a chapter of the Bible. I remember reading the whole book of Luke while I stayed with them for a couple of weeks in the summer of 1964.
Allot of you would see this and say...no way would I be forced to do that. Well it wasn't so bad. I learned allot. Aunt Blanche was a school teacher...and she did help me with my reading skills at that young age. I really think that is when I got into Sci-Fi. From my Dear Old Aunt Blanche having me read for her.
Also she could not cook ANYTHING well. She could burn water....so we always ate out at the nicest restaurants in the Detroit area. Those too relatives of mine were quite a pair.
They have been all over the world right after WWII. They were in Russia(when most Americans could not go)...they went to PeKing...when it was still call that and of course most Americans could not go. They had slides of everywhere they went in the world. Yes we use to have to sit there and watch a slide show. My Father would tell me later that it was so painful for him...because Aunt Blanche would describe each and every slide.
Also I have one of my most fondest memories of Christmas with them. They always took me out shopping for just about anything. I remember going to Hudson's Department store at Christmas time. (Marshall Fields bought them out). Hudson's had a whole floor just for Christmas. This is the Old original Hudson's in downtown Detroit. Everytime I see the movie Christmas Story....and they are at the Department store...I remember my days with my dear old Aunt and Uncle.

Howdy guys!
I'm back from a senior citizen's dance. They can go on forever...
I job was to
- escort them in
- serve dinner(I was their waiter)
- set up the tables
- clean up the tables
I danced with some old ladies, and they danced like crazy!
I was being schooled.
